The Low Down
4Play is the hottest, most extravagant gentlemen’s club I visited during my recent trip to the West Coast.  I arrived at 4Play at around 7:00pm on a Wednesday night, a little earlier than I usually do for reviews but dinner reservations with a friend dictated an early visit.  Between this trip and one to 4Play around a year prior, I can tell you that this is the best club to be at if you’re looking for a fun time in L.A.

Unfortunately, my experiences in the L.A. Gentlemen’s Club scene have forced me to create two rules that you must follow…

L.A. Gentlemen’s Club Rule #1: More Nude, Less Booze… Less Nude, More Booze!
As per the law in Los Angeles, gentlemen’s clubs can’t go topless or nude if they serve alcohol.  4Play is a fully nude club and doesn’t allow BYOB, therefore you must enjoy your libations before visiting the club or do so after.

L.A. Gentlemen’s Club Rule #2: The L.A. Gentlemen’s Club Scene Sucks
4Play is the complete exception to this rule, but be mindful that you won’t experience anything as extravagant as this club anywhere in L.A.  If you have the money and are looking for a gentlemen’s club experience with alcohol and full nudity, take the drive or fly to Las Vegas.

Location & Facilities – 5 Stars
4Play is a two-story club located off of the 405 Freeway near Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Culver City.  While I can’t speak for its location relative to the surrounding neighborhoods, I can say that the valet service was incredibly convenient as there is limited on-street parking.  The elegant interior features one main pole area, small circular booths all around the club floor, a large projection screen with silhouettes of dancers and elaborate paintings and wallpaper that give off the vibe of a cigar lounge.  The bathroom was modern and clean, although there wasn’t an attendant on duty.

Staff – 5 Stars
While I didn’t interact much with the staff, I can tell you that everyone from the valet personnel to the front door hostess to the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful.

Food & Drink – 4 Stars
4Play only serves sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages as with all L.A. gentlemen’s clubs that are nude.  Don’t be fooled by the drink list though… the champagne and wine served are non-alcoholic.  The menu features an assortment of options such as breakfast, appetizers such as spinach dip, chicken lettuce wraps and shrimp cocktail, salads, sandwiches, soups and dinner entrees.

Dancers – 5 Stars
Between both of my visits to 4Play, once for this review and another on a busy weekend evening a year prior, I can tell you that the girls are not only incredibly gorgeous but also have amazing talent on the pole.  Montreal-native Sophie, an inch over six feet tall without heels, was worth every penny between her incredible pole dance and the amazing couch dance experience I had with her after.

Value – 4 Stars
4Play’s prices are very reasonable despite what you’d expect from being one of the few clubs in the area and so close to the more affluent Beverly Hills area.  The cover is $15.00 on weekdays and $20.00 on weekends.  There is a one-drink minimum as well as the option for $7.00 cigarettes behind the bar.  Private chair dances are $25.00 per song, couch dances are a 3-song minimum for $90.00 and the upstairs champagne court will set you back $200.00 for 15 minutes, $400.00 for 30 minutes and $800.00 for an hour.

Website & Social Media – 5 Stars
4Play’s website features club information, upcoming events, links to their Facebook and Twitter pages along with a free ticket link, dancer lineup, menu and much more.
In Brief…
4Play is the best gentlemen’s club experience in L.A. and, despite a few drawbacks *cough alcohol cough* is an exciting and entertaining experience that is well worth your time and money.
