The Low Down
While the sign outside might reference “NOLA” (New Orleans, Louisiana, where their sister club is located), walking inside the former Club Risqué Burlington will make you feel like you’re in a swanky Olde City nightclub as opposed to a jazz club in the French Quarter. I arrived at the fully-nude, BYOB club on a Saturday evening at around 11:00pm.
Location & Facilities – 4 Stars
Remodeled in late 2013, the modern interior of Babe’s NOLA mirrors that of many high-end gentlemen’s clubs but on a much smaller scale. The facilities are gorgeous, featuring a granite bar with five flat-screen TV’s throughout the club area.
Staff – 5 Stars
I couldn’t have had a better experience with the staff of Babe’s NOLA if I tried. I had an enjoyable experience not only chatting with the sexy tattooed bartender Megan, but also with manager Rick, who gave me a free admission coupon for purchasing a 15-minute champagne court.
Food & Drink – 3 Stars
The club doesn’t sell food but, sticking to their New Orleans roots, occasionally has gumbo on Sundays. The club does serve sodas for $6.00 and is BYOB.
Dancers – 4 Stars
While I wasn’t overwhelmed by the attractiveness of the dancers (as you’ll find in many smaller clubs), I did have an awesome time in the champagne court with the adorably cute Sydney during my visit.
Value – 3 Stars
The cover for Babe’s NOLA is $10.00 on weeknights, $15.00 on weekends, which is lower than many gentlemen’s clubs but sodas are $6.00 each with a one-drink minimum. There’s a 20% charge to use your credit card so either use their on-site ATM with only a 10% charge or bring extra cash before you arrive. Couch dances, which offer very little privacy, are $20.00 per song. The VIP booths, completely private with couches and flat-screen TV’s, are $125.00 for 15 minutes and $225.00 for 30 minutes.
Website & Social Media – N/A
As of the time of this article being posted the website for Babe’s NOLA is under construction, but their Facebook page is alive and kicking.
With the look of a nightclub and the location of a dive bar, Babe’s NOLA has a unique feel and friendly atmosphere that’s definitely not to be missed.
