The Low Down
I’m not much for the “dive bar” gentlemen’s clubs; the small clubs without the flair, modern decor and upscale options that you’ll find at many of your larger clubs. I have to admit, however, that I really enjoyed my time at Good Guys Club, where their website motto is: “Having Fun Is What We Are All About.” Sure, the girls may not all be Playboy-level attractive, the alcohol selection not the largest and the décor not the prettiest, but this place is F-U-N! In a gentlemen’s club scene (thanks to local laws and ordinances) that doesn’t allow touching of the dancers (yes, you read that right… no champagne court and no lap dances!), the multi-award winning Good Guys Club sets itself apart by being a club where, whether you’re a local regular, a business professional or an out-of-towner looking for a fun place to relax with some good company, you’ll find friendly dancers and an atmosphere that’s perfect for everyone.

Location & Facilities – 4.5 Stars
The fully-nude Good Guys Club is located within two blocks of the United States Naval Observatory and minutes from Georgetown University. As the club isn’t located in the heart of Washington, DC, public transportation and parking may not be the most convenient options to get to and from the club so, if you’re staying local, taxicab or Uber your way to the club for the most convenience. Upon entering the smaller one-story establishment, you’ll be greeted by a wood paneling and brick décor featuring three main stages with the music a mix of hip-hop and rock playing from the automated music system. No photos or cell phones are allowed, so be sure to conduct any personal business before you enter the club or be prepared to duck into the bathroom or outside to check your email or make phone calls.

Staff – 4 Stars
I was greeted upon my arrival by Vlad, the club’s friendly door man, who informed me of the rules of the establishment before directing me to find a seat. The rotating mix of friendly waitresses only enhanced the “down to earth” feel of the club and its patrons as my attention drifted between the dancers on stage and the ones who kept me company during my visit to the club.

Food & Drink – 4.5 Stars
Good Guys Club offers a fully stocked bar along with a variety of food options, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, fajitas, quesadilla, burgers, entrees, steak and eggs, salmon, pork chops and New York strip steak, all at reasonable prices. I enjoyed a Malibu rum and pineapple juice for $9.25; a reasonable price for a mixed drink.

Dancers – 4 Stars
While the girls may not all be as attractive as you’ll find in some of the larger, brand-name clubs, you’ll find that the dancers at Good Guys Club are some of the nicest, friendliest and most fun you’ll encounter at any gentlemen’s club around. I had the pleasure of spending some time with the younger and incredibly attractive Kitty, who I still wish I could’ve enjoyed the pleasure of a couch dance with (stupid adult entertainment laws!).

Value – 5 Stars
Good Guys Club has no cover and no minimum drink, which means more money to spend on food, drinks and tips for the hard-working dancers. Speaking of, the food and drinks prices are comparable to any local bar or restaurant, so don’t expect to get price-gauged due to lack of private dances.

Website & Social Media – 5 Stars offers a surprisingly large amount of information and resources, even more than you’ll find on the websites of some of the major gentlemen’s club chain websites. With a photo gallery of some of the club’s beautiful entertainers, daily dancer schedules, bottle service list, menu, drink specials and directions and links to their Facebook and Twitter pages, features plenty of information to properly plan your trip visit.

In Brief…
While Good Guys Club may not have all of the high-end amenities that you’ll find at the high-end gentlemen’s club chains, the club offers a fun, exciting and down-to-earth atmosphere for everyone.
