The Low Down
From my experiences in reviewing gentlemen’s clubs, I’ve found that chain clubs fall into one of two categories: the clubs that are similar in quality to their sister locations and ones whose quality varies greatly. Despite being on the other side of Pennsylvania (and opposing views on who has the better sports teams), Cheerleaders Pittsburgh embodies the same style, sophistication and VIP level of quality as Cheerleaders Philadelphia, an amazing club as well and one of my favorite spots in the Philadelphia area. I arrived at the club around 10:00pm on a Saturday night in order to catch adult film star Riley Steele, who was appearing that night. As with all of my gentlemen’s club reviews, I rated the club on a scale of one to five stars, with five being the best possible score.

Location & Facilities – 4.5 Stars
Located just northeast of downtown in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, Cheerleaders is easily accessible from Route 28, which connects to all of the major highways going in and out of the Steel City. It costs $5 to park in their spacious lot, and the club offers a courtesy van to guests (check with management for details). As for the club itself, at the heart of the large yet elegantly appointed interior (no joke, this is Vegas-level quality) is a massive bar area with equally massive three-pole stage. Surrounding the bar are eight flat-screen televisions to catch the latest sports action, a private party room that accommodates up to thirty in your group, a skybox overlooking the stage area as well as tons of seating surrounding the bar and along the perimeter of the club floor. In addition, the club’s DJ spins predominantly upbeat and stylish club music, smoking is permitted and there isn’t an ATM on premises, but there is a cash window to purchase dances.

Staff – 4.5 Stars
While I usually don’t interact with the gentlemen’s club staff, I have to say that the employees at Cheerleaders are well-trained in ensuring a positive experience from all of their guests. Floor manager Anthony gave me a tour of the club and explained the club’s amenities, while Sunny managed to maintain a friendly and outgoing spirit despite the packed house that evening. Oh, and I can’t forget to show my appreciation to Doug, the club’s van driver who chauffeured me back to my hotel after partying with the lovely dancers during my visit.

Food & Drink – 5 Stars
Nothing makes me happier than to visit a gentlemen’s club with an amazing food menu. I know, the dancers are who you go to see, but serving food – good food – keeps patrons at the club longer, shows that management cares about creating a positive guest experience and always helps after having a few drinks and not wanting to leave to find somewhere else to eat. Cheerleaders’ menu includes appetizers such as potato skins, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and a variety of French fry options along with soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and a variety of steak and seafood entrees. Oh, and DESSERT! The club has a full bar to satisfy your libations; I ordered a double Malibu and pineapple for $12.50, which was a pretty standard price for a double mixed drink in clubs in the area.

Dancers – 5 Stars
The dancers at Cheerleaders are as diverse as they are beautiful; an important element for ensuring that your clientele, whose tastes often vary, find a dancer that they enjoy. The mix of dancers to customers were about even, and (except for a couple of aggressive ladies) the dancers don’t hustle too hard for dances. I enjoyed a private dance with Ari, a sexy curly-haired brunette dancer who is as cute as a button and gives an incredible dancing experience. The club also has weekly adult entertainment feature dancers; be sure to check out the club’s website to see who is appearing soon.

Value – 4.5 Stars
Weeknight cover at the club is $20, while couch dances are $25 and a trip to the champagne court will set you back $125 for 15 minutes, $226 for 30 minutes and $455 for an hour.

Website & Social Media – 5 Stars
With a simple yet clean layout, the Cheerleaders website quickly points you to their address, hours, social media links and food menu while highlighting the adult feature performers and other events that set this club apart from others in the area. With coverage on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media sites, you’ll be able to easily keep up-to-date on all of the club happenings.

In Brief…
Cheerleaders excels where many other gentlemen’s clubs fall short: offering an experience that goes beyond just beautiful dancers and a clean, modern interior by focusing on excellence in all aspects of their club. Whether a Steel City native or an out-of-towner stopping by for the night, Cheerleaders is a club that you’ll want to return to again and again.
