C.J. Asher – First of all, thank you for this interview Simon. Please, tell us a little about yourself.
Simon Fielder – No problem, my name’s Simon Fielder, I am twenty-seven and from Cumbria, England. From the age of thirteen I was home educated, then did Art at Lakes College, West Cumbria before attending University to study Film and TV Production.
C.J. Asher – What first got you interested in creating erotic art?
Simon Fielder – It was a bet with a fellow artist. I noticed their online sales were low and they were doing paintings that were considered “pretty”… animals, fairies and landscapes. I said I’ll paint up some nudes and I bet I sell them. Within the first five minutes, one had sold, then another. From then on, I took it more seriously. I attended life drawing classes and enjoyed them, I am truly fascinated by the human form.
C.J. Asher – Where do you get your inspiration for your paintings?
Simon Fielder – I am inspired by film and album covers and artists such as Chris Achilleos, Greg Hildebrandt and Boris Vallejo. I would be lying in bed unable to sleep and suddenly my head will be filled with ideas.
