Registration is now open for the annual XBIZ Miami Scuba & Snorkel Social, set for Tuesday, May 29.

Presented by premier cam network, XBIZ Miami is the adult industry’s biggest summer event, drawing a record number of industry players and talent as it completely takes over South Beach’s chic Mondrian Hotel from Tuesday, May 29, through Friday, June 1, for three action-packed days and sultry nights of unparalleled business opportunities with a tropical flair.

XBIZ Miami kicks off with one of its most popular and unique events, the annual Scuba & Snorkel Social, which is open to all attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Certified divers get to dive, snorkelers and swimmers alike can swim and snorkel — even if you can’t swim, it’s an enjoyable boat ride and elite networking opportunity.

As in previous years, the trip will be run out of Tarpoon Lagoon Dive Center, located dockside near the Mondrian Hotel at 300 Alton Rd. In order to participate, attendees must call the dive center directly at (305) 532-1445 and tell them Stephen sent you or mention group code “XBIZ.” Space is limited, so make your reservations promptly to avoid disappointment.

According to Tarpoon Lagoon, we will travel 30 minutes offshore from Miami Beach on a 46’ Newton dive boat to the northern tract of South Florida’s coral reef system, which features a variety of marine life from schools of tropical fish to lobsters, turtles, stingrays, large hermit crabs and conchs, plus the occasional nurse shark hiding under a rock ledge, and maybe even see dolphins at the surface.

Specific sites are chosen based on the day’s conditions, but will not be more than 30 feet deep, making them perfect for snorkelers, open water divers, or those just looking for a smooth, leisurely experience.

The trip runs from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., during which we will visit two different dive sites, staying at each location for 45 minutes to an hour with the entire trip taking four hours. Check-in at the dive center is at 12:30, with participants encouraged to meet in the hotel lobby at 11:45 for an Uber ride over at noon.

An optional dockside dinner at Monty’s Sunset, adjacent to the dive shop, provides participants with a great meal, refreshing cocktails, and more casual networking, before returning to the Mondrian for the evening’s activities.

As with the diving, dinner is on your own dime.

The fee for snorkelers and swimmers is $70 plus tax per person, with mask, snorkel, fins and safety vest included, for a comfortable and relaxing experience.

The fee for certified divers is $90 plus tax per person, with two tanks and weights included. All equipment is available for rental for those not bringing their own gear. Call the shop for pricing based on your needs.

A professional dive guide will be provided, so we can relax without getting lost.

Reservations are taken by phone and full payment is due at time of booking. There is a strict 48-hour cancellation policy to receive store credit, with refunds only issued if the dive trip is canceled due to inclement weather.
